Samsung Galaxy Gear 2 Smartwatch On The Horizon But there’s another exciting development surrounding the Samsung Galaxy S5’s release: according to ZDNet Korea, Samsung will launch the Galaxy S5 alongside the Galaxy Gear 2 smartwatch. Sources close to Samsung spilled the beans to ZDNet Korea, creating a firestorm of hype and anticipation by tech analysts and consumers alike. If you read the ZDNet Korea article previously mentioned (don’t worry, it’s translated into English), you’ll notice the “source” also reinforces the rumor hinting toward a mid-March release in London, England for the Samsung Galaxy 5. This is exciting news for anyone who’s still holding out for a Samsung Galaxy S5 rather than purchasing the current S4 model. Can We Trust The Galaxy Gear 2 Rumor? Unfortunately, there’s no easy answer to this question. Sometimes the rumors are right, while other times they…

GalaxyS5 , News , smart phones / January 24, 2014

Hold on and prepare for launch, because a new source suggests Samsung will release their flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S5, in London, England around mid-March. At the recent Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, a company spokesperson stated that it was “highly likely” the Galaxy S5 would be released in Q1 of this year. Ever since then, industry analysts have been working around the clock to try and pinpoint a more precise date. This time, we have a report that Samsung will release the device around mid-March in London, England. It’s important to note that there’s still no official word on an exact date. We’re left to speculate on rumors leaked by insiders close to the South Korean tech company. With that said, this latest rumor comes from a reliable source that’s known to provide accurate information on upcoming smartphones and tech products. Will The Galaxy S5 See a Mid-May London Launch? Quite possibly, yes. Earlier this month, Italian journalist Flavio tweeted the following: “Samsung to hold its next Global launch (S5?) event in London in a mid March date, a reliable source confirmed me.” This is huge news as bloggers and tech analysts across the world are trying to…

Sorry, No Iris Scanner With The Samsung Galaxy S5
GalaxyS5 , smart phones / January 23, 2014

A couple months ago, we discussed a rumor suggesting that the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S5 would feature advanced iris-scanning technology, allowing users to unlock their device by looking into the camera. Some people were excited after hearing this rumor, while others claimed it would be an “invasion of their privacy.” Regardless of which side of the fence you were on, it looks like Samsung is ditching the iris-scanning technology and going with the fingerprint unlocking method instead. If you want some next-generation eye-scanning technology, you’ll have to go with the Google Glass. According to a source for the Korea Herald, Samsung will not pursue the eye scanner for their upcoming flagship device, the Galaxy S5. Why Did Samsung Scrap The Galaxy S5’s Iris Scanner? Apple has received praise for their simple yet highly effective fingerprint scanner, so why shouldn’t Samsung follow their lead? Of course, this begs the question: why did Samsung decide to ditch the Galaxy S5’s iris scanner in the first place? The Korea Herald offers some insight into Samsung’s decision… An anonymous source for the Korea Herald stated the following: “Who would want to put their handset up close to their eyes for authentication in places like movie…

We’ve brought you tons of information regarding the company’s upcoming the flagship smartphone, including the processor, Air View technology, battery power and more. Send Your “Thanks” To @evleaks One thing that we haven’t talked about is the Galaxy S5’s home screen. Samsung has promised it will use a new and improved version of its previous S4 model, but they haven’t released any specific details. Earlier this week, however, famed cell phone leaker evleaks published an image on Twitter that appears to be the Samsung Galaxy S5’s home screen (see image below). I know what you’re thinking: is this really the Samsung Galaxy S5’s home screen? There’s no confirmation by Samsung or any other party, but evleaks has a pretty good track record on reporting accurate cell phone details and information. Samsung Galaxy S5 To Feature Upgraded Air View and Air Gesture Tech
GalaxyS5 , smart phones / January 17, 2014

Air View and Air Gestures are two novelty features currently offered in the Samsung Galaxy S4. They allow users to operate their device by making movements or gestures above the phone’s sensor. While it’s pretty neat feature that’s fun to show off to your friends, it’s somewhat limited in terms of everyday function. Most Samsung Galaxy owners prefer to control their device by touch rather than motion, but this could change with the upgraded Air View and Air Gesture technology featured in the upcoming Galaxy  S5. Will The Samsung Galaxy S5 Feature New and Improved Air View and Air Gesture Technology? Although there’s no official word yet regarding any of the official hardware specs for the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S5, there’s evidence suggesting that it will in fact have a new and improved version of the company’s patented Air View and Air Gesture technology. Perhaps these improvements could turn this otherwise novelty feature into something that Galaxy owners access and use on a daily basis. I guess we’ll find out in a couple of months when the Galaxy S5 hits the market! New Motion Tech Coming To Both The Galaxy S4 and S5 Earlier this month, ETNews published an article…

Will The Samsung Galaxy S5 Feature an Aluminum and Leather Body?
GalaxyS5 , News / January 9, 2014

According to a recent concept image (see below), the answer is “maybe.” There’s still no official word from Samsung regarding the hardware specs of the company’s upcoming Galaxy S5, but a recently released concept image depicts the next-generation smartphone with an aluminum and leather body. As you can see, it’s a highly stylish design that looks incredibly realistic, which is why some tech industry analysts now believe it’s true. In the concept photo, you can see an ultra-thin smartphone that follows a similar structure as the previous Samsung Galaxy S4. Upon close examination, you’ll also notice the screen is curved, which is a rumor we discussed in a previous blog post. There’s plenty of evidence supporting a curved 5.25-inch display for the Galaxy S5, making this photo just a little more believable. An article published at the ibtimes.co.uk states that Samsung is heavily pushing curved screen technology in products displayed at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, Nevada. The interface depicted in the Galaxy S5 concept image is also worth nothing. Currently, there are no Galaxy devices using this same interface, but it does bear a striking resemblance to the HTC One’s BlinkFeed. Maybe, This Is True… Like most…

Rumor Has it Galaxy J is Galaxy S5
GalaxyS5 , Images , News , smart phones / December 9, 2013

Is the Galaxy S5 Release Date Rumor True? A video popped up from Samsung stating that the Galaxy J would be released on Monday, December 9, which caused a panic for those awaiting the Galaxy S5. Why was it such an issue? Because the latest rumor around the mill says that the Galaxy J is in fact none other than the Galaxy S5, but is it? The simple answer is no, it is not. According to a strange and contradictory post by the International Business Times, the long awaited release of the Galaxy S5 is here, and it is releasing in Taiwan as the Galaxy J. The IBT’s exact statement is: “Samsung Galaxy S5 release date is scheduled today after Samsung has teased fans with a video of a handset with metallic body.” While we appreciate the enthusiasm, and we know that it is exciting to think that the Galaxy S5 is in fact being released today, we think you shouldn’t get your hopes up. There are too many contradictions between the Samsung J the Galaxy S5, and what we know about both for the former to be the same as the latter. Maybe J is a scaled down version,…

Will Galaxy S5 Show up at CES 2014 or MWC 2014?
News , smart phones , Tips Corner / November 10, 2013

Galaxy S5 at MWC or CES – You Be the Judge With all of the different Galaxy S5 release date rumors that have made it through the mill so far, is it any wonder that the newest of them are saying that Samsung could possibly announce the highly anticipated device’s release date at the up and coming Mobile World Congress in Spain January 2014? An interesting rumor to say the least, since previous rumors we heard (and mentioned here) noted that it was highly likely for the still-rumored device to release at the up and coming Consumer Electronics Show in January of 2014. Will Galaxy S5 be at Mobile World Congress? For those who aren’t familiar, the Mobile World Congress is an annual event that features speakers, exhibitions, and a ton of forums, workshops, and other events regarding the worldwide mobile industry. Last year’s MWC featured 40 keynote speakers who talked about the current state of the mobile industry. Each speaker announced an important change or addition to each respective company’ services and while it is a bit early to determine whether Samsung will indeed attend the MWC 2014, the likelihood is high that he Korean-based Smartphone company will show…

GalaxyS5 , News , smart phones / November 6, 2013

Galaxy S5 120 More PPI than Galaxy S4 It’s yet another Wednesday, and we are bringing you yet another rumor about the Galaxy S5. This time, however, it’s not about the chip set – luckily, those rumors have cooled off for the time being. No, this time we finally have something different to share with our loyal readers. Nevertheless, the fact that every day that passes a new rumor surfaces means that fans are just itching to get their hands on the as yet unannounced devices – and apparently they have good reason to feel this way. Today’s rumors come to us via the International Business Times and Geek.com. According to their various sources, the Galaxy S5 will boast a 16-megapixel camera and the screen will boast a huge increase in the number of pixels per square inch. Let’s Talk about Galaxy S5 Pixels While we all no doubt thought that Samsung’s ability to get 441 pixels per square inch into the Galaxy S4’s display was pretty darn amazing, and made viewing anything on it a dream, Samsung has apparently figured out how to pack a bigger wallop with the S5.  According to Geek.com, the Galaxy S5 will boast a…

Samsung to Block Galaxy S5 from 3rd Party Accessories?
GalaxyS5 , Images , News , smart phones / October 24, 2013

Galaxy S5, Say it isn’t so…  Unfortunately, that’s the rumor we have to serve up to you today, courtesy of Sulekah.com – though the report doesn’t mention the source giving them the information, they do make a credible argument as to why Samsung would do something like this – besides the fact the company would make a ton of money. Galaxy S3 Explodes in Girl’s Pocket Back in July 2013, a few Samsung device users – various devices, not only cell phones – experienced the worst possible manufacturer malfunction. Their devices exploded for what they thought was no particular reason. Samsung uncovered and attributed the cause of the limited number of explosions to the different third party accessories that the users had connected to the device. While the accessories were supposed to have been compatible, there was an apparent problem with the compatibility, not to mention with the quality of the manufacturing, which caused the devices to smolder, smoke and burn to a crisp. Toast, we’re telling you. In fact, according to this NewLaunches.com report, an 18-year-old teen had a Galaxy S3 explode in her pocket – well, not exactly. It caught fire first and injured her so badly that…
