Rumor: Galaxy S5 to Get 64-Bit CPU – Again?
GalaxyS5 , Images , News , smart phones / October 17, 2013

Galaxy S5 Rumor Mill is at it Again Boy, the Galaxy S5 Rumor mill can’t make up its mind, can it? With all the gossip out there, most of it going back and forth about the specifications that the Galaxy S5 will feature in its new, as yet still unannounced, iteration, it’s a wonder that any of the mainstream media sites can keep them straight. Two of the most hotly debated rumors include that of the mobile operating system the Galaxy will sport, and what type of hardware architecture it will sport – on which the mobile operating system used will rely. Potential CPU & OS for Galaxy S5 First, it was noted that Galaxy S5 will feature a Snapdragon 80 64-bit CPU, which would have allowed the device to run Kit-Kat. Then, rumors started flying about the lack of 64-bit support, which essentially meant that the Kit-Kat mobile OS would be impossible because Android Kit-Kat is designed for 64-bit systems. This meant the Galaxy S5 would have had to feature the older version of Android, Jelly bean, or that Samsung would have to take a chance at offering the company’s own mobile operating system, Tizen, which seemed highly unlikely…

GalaxyS5 , News , smart phones / October 12, 2013

A Korean tech publication appears to have the latest scoop concerning the Samsung Galaxy S5, and we’ve seen just about every single tech publication on the web follow suit with its own “confirmation” of that rumor. In fact, a Mashable report states that in an, “effort to kick start slowing sales of its current model,” the Galaxy S5 is being released much sooner than anyone anticipated that it would. CES Release Coming? According to the report, Korean tech news and review website Naver was started and is still powered by ex-Samsung employees, all of whom have said they believe that Samsung will show off the new Galaxy S5 at the upcoming annual Consumer Electronics Show, which is being held in in Las Vegas January of 2014. This release date is at least 3 to 4 months earlier than anyone expected it to be, as the original release date rumors pegged the device for April 2014. There’s only one problem with If the Naver report is in fact true, then there’s only one problem with it. Apparently, Naver thinks that the galaxy S5 will feature specifications that are a bit different than anyone else predicted. While we know that nothing is…

New Galaxy S5 Rumor: Dustproof & Waterproof
GalaxyS5 , News , smart phones / October 8, 2013

To date, the S5 has seen some pretty intensive and interesting rumors coming from the mill, and it seems that not a single day goes by that another rumor doesn’t surface about the Galaxy S5 smartphone. Well, the last two days have been no different. Another rumor for another day has surfaced, and though it’s sometimes extremely difficult to determine which rumors could be real, and which  are just blowing smoke up – you get the point – we’ll tell you about them anyway, because we wouldn’t want to get caught off guard. And we certainly don’t want to miss anything. So,. with that in mind, let’s get to the newest of rumors that have left the mill of late. Dust and Water Proof? A few different media outlets – specifically Trusted Review – are claiming that the newest Galaxy S5 will be dustproof and waterproof. While it is feasible that the Galaxy, which we think is due to be released sometime in April of 2014 –hopefully it’ll be much sooner than that – surely could wind up being dustproof, but the waterproof rumor is a different thing altogether. Making something waterproof requires an entirely different type of technology that…

GalaxyS5 , News , Price , smart phones / October 4, 2013

Some new rumors have cropped up this week about the Galaxy S5 by Samsung including one about a new release date, another regarding potential display type and a third rumor about its overall feature set. Yet another rumor states that anticipated buyers are going to be very, very disappointed with what Samsung actually releases. So let’s get down to business with the newest rumors in the mill today.   Fans Will Be Disappointed? Really? How could any think that rumor possible? Well, the International Business Times thinks it is possible – and we think it could be true based on what we wrote last time. The rumor that Samsung is dropping the 64-bit processor, Android Kit-Kat and the fingerprint sensor isn’t a new one, and it’s one we talked about already. So far, while we can see why fans would be disappointed, we don’t think it’ll affect sales much. Simply stated, the hype has increased anticipation for the new device on so much so that we’ve seen people say that they don’t much care what features Galaxy S5 will offer, they just want it released – and now. Galaxy S5 Display Type According to a few mainstream media outlets, the…

Samsung Drops Kit-Kat, 64-Bit CPU and Fingerprint Sensor from Galaxy S5
GalaxyS5 , News , Price , smart phones / October 2, 2013

Three new rumors surfaced over the weekend about the highly anticipated Samsung Galaxy S5 smartphone, but before we get into what those rumors are, let’s recap what we know so far. The Galaxy S5 is rumored to be released in February at the Mobile World Congress. The yearly event has always attracted the biggest names in the mobile industry, so it would be no surprise if Samsung did announce its Galaxy at the event. No 64-bit Processor? Yes, you read that right. Samsung is said to be getting rid of the 64-bit CPU, according to the latest rumors. This is a truly unfortunate situation if it is true because most Galaxy fans really, really wanted the S5 to use a 64-bit because it should have offered more power, faster processing and just better performance overall. Though Shin Jong-kyun, CEO of Samsung, said in an interview with the Korea Times that Samsung will indeed use 64-bit processors, they unfortunately won’t get to the manufacturing line in time for the Galaxy S5 release date, we have our own theories as to why it won’t be included. More on that in a bit, but first… No Android Kit-Kat The biggest problem with not…

New Galaxy S5 Rumor: Fingerprint Sensor Delayed
GalaxyS5 , News , smart phones / September 27, 2013

Rumored Galaxy S5 Sensor Not Stable Enough Oh boy, you wouldn’t believe the rumors circulating today about the up and coming Galaxy S5 smartphone by Samsung due out soon… With the seemingly never-ending flow of speculation and rumors about the device, it’s no wonder no one really knows what is going on. No Fingerprint Sensor Security Features Today’s rumors concern the security features supposed to be available on the Galaxy S5 including the fingerprint sensor that the Nexus 5 is getting and that the iPhone already has. Apparently, Samsung is unsure as to whether they want to add the technology to the newest iteration of the phone. The security is allegedly the most promising to date, but it still has its flaws. Apparently, hackers have already devised multiple ways to get into devices using the sensors, and this could be why Samsung doesn’t want to take a chance at using the technology just yet, though the same rumors are claiming that the next Note will “definitely” get the tech.  however, Samsung contradicted the rumor, saying: “We never officially admitted that Samsung was weighing the fingerprint system and Knox for Galaxy Note 3 for security functions. We are not yet developing…

While there have been more rumors and speculations than facts about Samsung Galaxy S5, people generally agree that it will be released in 2014. The attention the Samsung Galaxy S5 release date has caught indicates that it will be among the grandest smart phone launches of the year. Samsung has developed a reputation for consistency when it comes to releasing its smart phones, which is why many experts are expecting the launch of the Galaxy S5 around March or April. This is because the company released its Galaxy S4 in April 2013. Samsung is expected to start producing its newest flagship smart phone towards the end of 2013. If the rumors are true, then the S5 will shape the future of the Galaxy S series. Samsung Galaxy S5 is expected to feature an aluminum exterior and 64-bit processor to rival the iPhone 5S. It is also expected to have a new 16-megapixel camera module featuring optical image stabilization, which will make it the first smart phone to use the latest technology. GalaxyS5 , News , smart phones / September 26, 2013

It never ends. Fans want to know what Samsung is doing with the Galaxy S5, and so does the media. Along with the stories we’ve published here at Galaxy5us.com, we’ve offered up tidbits and rumors flying across the intrawebs, and this post will be no different. New rumors are flying but this time there appears to be a bit of information to prove them. Let’s get on with it, shall we? Metal Chassis Probably the biggest rumor of all flying around currently is that Samsung has decided on a metal body for Galaxy S5, instead of the cheaper feeling plastic it has used until now on the Galaxy line of smartphones and tablets, not to mention the Note 3. While there are too many reports of this rumor to determine who started it, we think that the more important issue is the proof behind the rumor. A report written by Android Authority states that Samsung is in the market for metal casings – about 30,000 metal casings to be exact. Since the Galaxy S5 is the next phone up with a release date, one can only assume that Samsung is slating the casings use with the S5. If the Galaxy…
