Any chance the 4/2014 release date will be moved up? A Christmas release date would be ideal!

    • Gaurav says:

Hey JD, Samsung need some time to manufacture the different S5 parts and innovate the technologies, so April release would be a probable thing.

  7. John says:

What about a Canadian release date? and any idea of the carriers it will be released to?

    • Gaurav says:

Hi John, In Canada the phone will release in April month, same as worldwide.. The major carriers will be Vodafone, Tmobile, Verizon and Sprint.

  8. Alexandr says:

What about the os of galaxy s5? Will it be Android or widely advertizing Tizen? There were rumors that in 2013 galaxy s4 will be manufected with Tizen2.0.

And second question- will it be with flexible display?

    Gaurav,
    Will GSV be waterproof?

Hello Sandra. This has been in debate for a long time. The battery of Galaxy S5 will be removable, since the body will use carbon fibre, a stronger and better looking alternative to metal and plastic. Thank you

  20. Anne says:

I have gs2 but ive been second guessing because i know s5 is approaching… So my question is should i just wait for gs5???

  22. Vincent says:

Hello, I was wondering if the s5 will or if samsung will ever put the speaker in the front. I know htc did it. But I really like the idea and not htc.

  23. Vincent says:

Also what about dual memory card slot? Do you think it could ever happen. I used almost my entire 64gb on my s3.

Will you be able to buy the S5 unlocked?

  25. dthorne says:

    will uscellular carry the s5?

  26. Brian says:

I think that one thing you skipped over briefly was price. Would you by chance have a good estimate of how much this phone will cost?

  27. Peter says:

I am sure that Samsung will probably announce versions with 8,16,32,64 and 128 gb, but will then only produce the 16 version then after months will announe the release of the 32 versions for select carriers, the 64 nd 128 will never be heard of again.

I really like my original note with 32gb, wanted to upgrade to an S4 with 32gb, can I find one, not without switching to either at&t or verizon.

Why oh why do they announce these particular models then never make them, or for that matter sell unlocked direct.

Seriously if Apple can do it and have them all available on day 1 Samsung sure as hell should as well.
